Wedding toast overlooking ocean in St. Lucia

Michelle & Brian

The moment we laid eyes on each other, we both knew instantly. It was like we just picked up where we left off, even though we’d never
even met before

Before April 2, 2011, if anyone had asked, Michelle would have told you she didn’t believe in love at first sight. Brian, too. But on that night, in a bar of all places, these two souls met and immediately knew each was the “one.”

“The moment we laid eyes on each other, we both knew instantly. It was like we just picked up where we left off, even though we’d never even met before,” Michelle said.

After that first encounter, everything seemed to fall into place. Their first date was on a rainy Tuesday. They ate tacos, talked and although neither was looking for a relationship, they were instantly hooked on each other. Since then, their love only grew deeper. For the next four years, Brian and Michelle were inseparable. They lived
life together, sharing the ups and downs, but doing it side-by-side.

The Proposal

Brian spent many months planning out the perfect proposal, ensuring that it would be a moment that would never be forgotten. He got friends and family involved and chose Michelle’s hometown in Argentina to pop the question. Her father’s beach and restaurant provided the perfect setting for a romantic walk on the sand ending up on the steps of the restaurant. It was a warm, beautiful summer night. “My palms were sweaty and my heart was racing; but I summoned up the courage to ask the question. When Michelle said yes, it was the most amazing feeling and both consider that night, January 26, 2014, to be one of the happiest days of our lives,” explained Brian.

Why a Destination Wedding

Brian and Michelle love the beach and knew that it would be the perfect place to celebrate their wedding. They wanted an intimate ceremony in a breathtaking location.

The Wedding

Although the couple had never been to Saint Lucia before, Sarai, their AskMe Romance Specialist, described Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa in such detail, Brian and Michelle knew it would be perfect.
They worked closely with Sarai and when the big day arrived, Barbara, their event day coordinator, made sure that everything was set up and went smoothly. More than 45 of their closest friends and family shared in their unforgettable ceremony and celebration on the beach.
